Everyone needs encouragement to progress and change, even the most successful individuals. The benefits of using a coach can be the edge that you seek, both in your personal and professional life. A coach will provide customized support and help you reach results. The tools and techniques of Positive Discipline are very useful in bringing about personal development. As part of the coaching process, these tools are used to show the advantages of using them within a variety of situations that require clear communication to advance in the areas of choice of the coachee. Izumi Takase provides personal coaching upon request in the following two areas:

• Career Management

• Advanced Coaching for Parents Using Positive Discipline

Career Management

To help you bridge between who you are and what you want or can do:

  • Do you want a change but you don’t know how to move from A to B?
  • Do you want to know who you are, where you fit, what you want, what fulfills you, where you want to be in 3-5 years from now?
  • Do you want to know how to move to the next step – from something you have to do – to something you want to do?

Career Coaching can help shake things up, present other perspectives, challenge pre-existing beliefs we have about ourselves and our capabilities, and “break down” whatever psychological barriers we may have that prevent us from taking the next steps with confidence. Using the services of a Career Coach is already half the battle in improving your interview skills.

“As a mid-career professional, I was looking to make a lateral move in the international organization sector. Given how competitive the market is, I came to iPositiveLINC for professional coaching to improve my presentation and interview skills–in order to put my best foot forward. Within minutes, Izumi was able to identify my strengths and weaknesses, as well as to hone in on the areas where I could most improve. Her warm and intuitive nature made me feel instantly at ease, and by the end of the session, I felt comfortable tackling even the most difficult interview questions.”

Competency Based Interviews (CBI)

Interviews have evolved over the last decade. There has been a significant shift away from traditional interviews and towards competency based interviews (CBI). These interviews are also known as structured interviews or behavioral interviews.
This style of the interview consists of a number of targeted questions. They require interviewees to describe specific tasks or situations. CBI’s work on the assumption that the best indication of future behavior is past behavior.

Interviewees are typically assessed against 3-5 competencies. An example of a common competency is “problem-solving skills” and ‘communication and influence.’ A typical question is, “describe how you managed a difficult situation… Talk me through your approach … How did you feel during the situation? And what was the outcome?”.

iPositiveLINC can help job-seekers prepare for competency interviews.  We have worked with job seekers targeting new jobs and internal promotion.

iPositiveLINC proposes Team Management System, recognized as the foremost integrated system of work-based, research-proven assessments and feedback instruments worldwide.

Team Management System (TMS)

Team Management Systems was established in 1985. The TMS approach focuses on identifying and understanding key work elements in explaining why some individuals, teams, and organizations perform, work effectively and achieve their objectives, while others may fail.

TMS can help you understand your behaviors and competencies as well as how to improve your communication skills focusing on both your strengths and your weaknesses.

After filling a short questionnaire (maximum 20 minutes),  you will be provided with a full personal report of over 20 pages, followed by a one to one debrief with the consultant for a minimum of two hours.
